Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into a search form are sent to the outside provider that supplies results. Eugene Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine hosting logs may record an IP address, browser details, page requests, and timestamps. Those records are reviewed in aggregate for security, operation, and broad traffic patterns. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Services
Links may lead to Lane County, City of Eugene, Oregon, library, archive, or third-party search services. Their own policies control information entered on those services, including sponsored-result providers.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the site’s routine logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when a valid legal process requires disclosure and not otherwise.
Data Safeguards
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no site accounts, there is no site password or user profile to expose.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor has supplied information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Eligible Oregon consumers may have rights concerning personal data held by covered businesses under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, ORS 646A.570–.589. Because this reference retains very little visitor data, a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or routine logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Eugene, Lane County, and Oregon public records remain under their own custodians and record-specific statutes, so a removal or redaction request belongs with the office that holds the record.
Policy Changes
Updates will appear on this page. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised policy.
